Babies are such a nice way to start people.
~Don Herrold
I have seriously been neglecting the Blog for awhile...but I have a good excuse...BABIES! :) On Wednesday, June 27th my Aunt and Uncle (and my Godparents) welcomed their first children into the world--TWINS--Katherine Georgia and Kyle James. I was so grateful I was able to (along with my grandparents and Dad) to share this day with my Aunt and Uncle and to greet those babies when they were only minutes old. They are beautiful, they are healthy, and they are ready to move & shake the world---I would expect nothing less of a McClaflin! (SMILE) Since then, the whole family has been on Cloud 9...unable to focus on much of anything except the happiness these babies bring our family. After 26 years of marriage, my aunt and uncle finally got their miracle---no wait MIRACLES!!! I can't wait to see those babies again in a few days and hold them and cuddle them!! After 22 years, I FINALLY have another girl in the family...Kate and I will certainly bond as we take charge of all the boys!
On another happy note...Amber was here this weekend. She drove of up from Wichita to spend the weekend with me. We enjoyed life as we knew it for four years at BC...laughing...shopping...our random goofiness very few people understand...movies...all the things we haven't done for 2 months. She is one of my nearest and dearest and watching her drive away was hard...but knowing that in a month I'll only be 3 hours away instead of 6 is a comfort. How great it is to have those friends with whom you feel so alive!
Other random news:
*Dad is still doing well, but please keep up the prayers. His recovery is a long process
*I went to visit UNMCs P.A. program and LOVED IT...I think I'll apply there
* I was able to visit the Sisters last Friday---it made me OH SO HAPPY---had 2 VERY good conversations that were much needed and was able to spend some time with Diana, who by the way needs to forgive me! (UH-HUH!!!!) Diana....am I out of trouble yet?!?!?! (HA)
* Please say some prayers that I find a job and the two classes I need for PA School (which I just found out about) can be easily figured out this year! Oh my, life just LOVES to throw some curve balls...good thing I have been practicing my batting lately! :)
I hope life is treating everyone well...I am VERY anxious for next weekend. It will be S. Thomasita's Golden Jubilee and I'll be in Atchison celebrating with everyone--can't wait! :)
