A GOOD TIME WITH A GOOD FRIEND...

Catharine (in the picture above)came and stayed all night with me in Des Moines last night. She is on her way to visit another friend in Minnesota. I WAS SO EXCITED for Catharine to be here, I could hardly stand it. We had SOO much fun. We went for a mexican (late night supper) and headed to downtown Des Moines where we had a blast at Tequila Tom's!! It is so much fun to go out with Catharine---we are similiar in some ways, yet so different. Last night I think we both just enjoyed having the windows rolled down, sun roof open, and the music blaring as we drove in Des Moines...it was something we haven't been able to do for awhile. (And SLINDA, don't worry---we behaved ourselves, especially me since I was driving...no worries). We met some people last night and ended up chatting with them until we left---Catharine and I always enjoy our time out---sometimes I think we need a chaperon though! (Smile)

Tonight my grandparents came over for supper--we usually eat with them several times a week (Smile). Tonight Ellen and I are going out for awhile and meeting some friends. It is nice to be home in the summer and hang out with high school friends that you only get to see on breaks during the school year--we've seen a lot of each other.

Last night, Jessie's wedding shower went VERY well. I couldn't be more happy for her---she is getting an amazing guy and she deserves it. It is just so weird to think about how we are all GROWING UP--I cannot believe Jessie has a house and is getting married...it seems like just yesterday we were driving too fast down the country roads, screaming to our music, and trying to figure out our futtures (oh wait....we still do that!) It is fun to see where everyone has been, where everyone is going, and how we are all doing it together! Life is good...
