WEDDING....

On Friday night as Jessie walked down the aisle on the arm of her Dad, it really hit me...this is it and we are growing up! :) It was a bittersweet moment!!! This was, by far, the most beautiful wedding I have ever been too. It was gorgeous, yet simple. Elegant, but fun. It was everything a girl could dream of. I am also happy to annouce that I managed not to cry or to mess up while reading during the wedding, WHEW! :) The night was a magical night. It was spent with good friends, great cake, and lots of dancing. What more could you ask for. Jessie looked absolutely breathtaking--and Chris, as handsome as always. Tears were shed during the ceremony and love was overwhelmingly present in that church. I have to say one of my favorite parts of the evening was watching Jessie's grandparents join us on the dance floor, not only to the slow, but the fast songs too. They are still so in love, and they are still young at heart. The last thing Jessie's grandma said to me was, "NEVER GROW OLD!!" I intend to listen quite well, it has obviously worked for her. It seems like only yesterday that Jessie and I were getting all dolled up and waiting for our prom dates to arrive---we double dated for every high school dance. Now, Jessie and I were sitting in the room, waiting for those last few minutes to pass before she walked down the aisle. What a blessing it has been to have been such a part of each other's lives---to share such momentous occassions with one another. I could not be any happier for Jessie. Chris is an amazing guy who will always take care of her, who makes her laugh, and most of all loves her with all his heart. Ellen and I are a bit sad she is moving away, but we also know, we didn't lose a friend, we gained another with Chris now in the group. They are truly wonderful together. OF COURSE, Jessie and I also felt the need to break out the high school dance moves that night---we've still got it! :)
