WHY I LOVE SUMMER...

this picture above is one of the reasons I CANNOT wait for summer! :) It is a Hawaiian Shaved Ice from Tropical Sno. Some might think it is just a regular snow cone, but HOW WRONG you are. This is SOOO much better than any other snow cone you could get at any ol' carnival---these are the best. It might seem dumb, but I cannot wait for the summer because I CRAVE these things. Almost everyday since it has opened on Memorial Day, I have been a visitor at Tropical Sno---every day a new flavor and maybe by the end of the summer, I will have tried all of them, since a couple of times I have been a more than once a day visitor! (SMILE) On a hot day, these things are just perfect...my favorite this year, Raspberry Colada! It brings a new flavor to my life every day and the fun spill cup shaped like a flower prevents me from losing it all over the ground (again)!! YES...this is one HUGE reason I love summer..other reasons...sunshine...flip flops...swimsuits...water...BEING OUTDOORS...driving with the windows rolled down...road trips...capris...tank tops...kids running here, there, and everywhere...softball...water skiing...BBQs...camping...jet skis...mowing the lawn (yes, I like this)...summer cleaning...family reunions...the Iowa State Fair...no school (well...sometimes)...friends...the list goes on and on...basically I JUST LOVE LOVE LOVE SUMMER and wanted to share with you all my love for it...I could talk about summer all day...but I'll spare you (yes, I know it isn't officially summer yet, but it will be next week and that is close enough for me!!!) THANK GOODNESS for Tropical Sno it makes my lil' heart VERY happy!!

Now real news: Tonight I have a wedding shower from one of my best friends from high school, Jessie. I cannot wait. Then Catharine is coming to stay all night tonight and we are going to my cousins' Italian restaraunt in Downtown Des Moines, where they are throwing a party, and then who knows after that. You never know where Catharine and I will end up!! FYI...Dad is doing well...very well. Thanks for all the prayers!
