Me & Abz
I left Abby's and drove to a lake near Atchison. I met S. JoAnn at the Sisters' Lake House for some much needed catching up! It was lovely out there & the weather was gorgeous so we were able to enjoy the outdoors! I was also able to catch up with some other friends in Atchison...always full of laughs!
After I left there I drove to Liberty to meet Emily, Amber, Christina & their three babies Max, Kolbe, & Gianna! We spent the night at Adam & Krista's (thank you Adam & Krista) & were able to enjoy time with each other. It was also the first time I have ever met Max. So I was incredibly excited. He is even more gorgeous than the pictures I have seen. I am seriously considering nominating him for the Gerber baby! :) He is quite a happy fellow as well! They ordered in pizza (I enjoyed eating babyfood with the lil' ones--haha) & we sat around talking most of the evening. After everyone had gone to bed Christina & I sat up talking even longer into the night. It was a nice chance to have a face-to-face & heart-to-heart. In the morning we all had to go our separate ways---but it was so nice being able to have even a little time with the girls. We absolutely need to do it more often, but it is so difficult to coordinate all of our schedules!
I went back to Atchison on Friday to visit friends & the Sisters. It was a good time & I was able to visit lots of people. I was also able to have a long conversation with Dr. Adam B-W...he's a good level-head who knows both my personality & academic abilites and he gave me some great advice on future education & career possibilites. I have much more to consider and think about now...oh goodie!(SMILE)

I drove back home on Saturday & arrived home in time to celebrate Andrew's 6th birthday. It was so much fun. I got him this Transformers Super-Soaker gun that can shoot up to 35 feet & has a secret hole to shoot water out of that the victim won't be able to hide from when they dodge the normal stream of water. I was almost excited about it as he was! We spent some time together & enjoyed celebrating. John & Leslie and the twins were here as well. Mike & Lyse & the boys went home that evening, but the twins stayed for the night.
Kyle enjoyed helping me make salad for my Grandma's sunday pasta supper today. I would cut the veggies & he would put them in for me. It was a hoot & he was a lot of help. Katie also wanted her fingers & toes painted--she picked a shade of orange & she was quite happy when I was finished. I let her try to do mine...she didn't get one bit of nail polish on my nail--it was all over my hands...but she had a blast.
They left about 2 this afternoon. I have been trying to pick up & clean-up. I have lots of laundry after this week!! haha. I also made some homemade custard (S. JoAnn's recipe). It must not have been too bad because it is gone already--everyone dove into it. This afternoon brought us quite a few storms so we've been lounging and getting things done around the house. I am still quite tired. Traveling is so much fun, but it wears my body out yet, so it takes me a few days to get back in line again. If I get a good night's sleep tonight, I should be good. I enjoyed seeing the girls in KC...I miss them all terribly! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
