This is the view at the foot of my bed, little Sophie. When any of us are not feeling well, she is right by our side & hardly leaves until we are feeling better. When Papa was down with his kidney stones, we hardly ever saw her because she refused to leave his side. Since I've been down with my back, she has been on the bed with me, the sofa, anywhere I go she follows. Now, I'm the first admit I love her, but I also know she's a dog! haha! :) I have to say her companionship when you don't feel well is a comfort & she keeps me toes nice & toasty! She's a sweetheart of a dog & I'm glad she's so devoted, I love having her curl up with me!!!
I went to see the GI doc this afternoon, which was interesting since it hurts to sit (haha)!! He is doing the best he can to get me in Mayo as quickly as he can, but he warned us it could take a month or so, but he'll do what he can to rush it along! He is going to keep me on the same medication regiment that I've been on & try to keep doing what I can to keep the babyfood/pureed food down...so I don't lose anymore weight. He was happy that I seem to only be fluctuating a bit in the weight, but trying hard to maintain 99-100 pounds! He is very hesistant to put in a feeding tube again or do any 'invasive' procedures besides the endoscope because of my anesthesia issues & how my body responds to surgery, he isn't sure it would hold up. SO, we are just trying to maintain everything until we can get to Mayo. I understand the standstill & I know he is working hard, we all are, to get things moving. I have hope it will soon.
My back is still giving me fits today & I cannot get in to see my family doc until next Thursday to see what he has to say about it all, but maybe there will be a cancellation and I will be seen sooner.
All will be well, I'm sure! All I have to say my family & friends & all those in my life make the journey so worth it! :)
XoXoXo
