This weekend was a MARVELOUS weekend. It was balanced with work & play which is always good. Friday night we had cookie baking with our Prayer Partners--which is always fun. Afterward, Christina, Amber, and I came back and had a little 'girl' time since it was Christina's last night here. I spent Saturday studying for my Ethics final and Saturday night we had a going away party for Jess at O'Malley's in Weston. We had a BALL! The night was filled with lots of laughter and lots of people---we had a large group there and it was great to have so many together. The most important thing is that Jess was surrounded by her best friends on her last weekend here at BC--she graduates in December and will leave home for Colorado tomorrow. We will certainly miss her, but we know she'll be back to visit, she could not stay away from us too long. (Smile) Yesterday, I went to Mass and helped one of the Sisters do some decorating since she had surgery and is not able. It is funny, sometimes those little moments and the littlest things can be some of your favorite memories and times to spend with someone--the informal moments. Then I came back to school and spent most of my afternoon/night in a study group for Ethics. I am happy to say I have only one more final to go--tomorrow at 8am. Then it's off to stay all night at Catharine's apartment and on to Des Moines on Wednesday!!

I cannot believe that my senior year is half over. I am getting SOOO excited for my Amazon trip--it is coming VERY quickly. I leave on the 29th of December and I can hardly contain my excitement. 2 weeks in the Jungles of Peru--roughin' it and doing research while exploring everything---it'll certainly be something new for me, but it will be the adventure of a lifetime and I can HARDLY wait.

I hope all is well with everyone. We still do not have any snow here and I'm pretty bummed about that. Normally, I am all about warm weather, but this year it makes me sad for two reasons: (1) I just want to go sledding with the girls (2) It concerns me a great deal that Global Warming is getting even worse and that is just terrifying. I think I'll go outside and do a little 'snow dance.'
