Today was a good day and if you ask me to tell you why I am not sure I can pinpoint any one thing--just lots of little things that added up to a happy day. I had a test today that I actually felt like I had prepared well for. I saw random people when I was out and about today--which always makes me happy. One of my friends is home safely--that's a happy thing. The HER auction tonight was lots of fun---the Thanksgiving dinner in the caf was actually good (gotta love mashed potatoes and stuffing with pumpkin pie)--but no turkey, I cannot stand turkey! It just seemed like there were so many little things to make me smile. Now tomorrow, I must (under orders) get started on my papers---like you know...do the research and write them by Tuesday (LORD HELP ME). I have senioritis and I think it is getting worse--it may be the life of me, but the death of my academics. Okay, that's drastic--don't worry Dad! (smile) I always get things done and done well--but I am procrastinating A LOT more lately. I am anxious for the weekend--to be productive and to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday on Saturday night. I hope the day went well for all of you. Oh yeah, I started my Microbiology Lab final today--Bro. Larry gave each of us a different culture that has 2 different types of bacteria on it. Our job is to use the techniques that we have learned in lab so far--to test them and to figure out what specific bacteria they are. So, I started today by doing a gram stain and identifying my gram negative and gram positive and then I did two TSA plates and streaked them for isolation. Tomorrow I shall go back and continue on. I know it sounds quite boring to some of you--but to me, it is so much fun. I haven't learned much in the class--but I've learned tons in the lab. (Plus, we get to play with fire)!!! *smile* Can't you see my BC education is paying off? Know my love & prayers are with you all. Remember to DANCE! I feel it is my job to remind people and carry on Julia's words!! SO c'mon go DANCE!
Picture: Another fun one that I love to look at. This is freshmen year when Amber and I decided to use trash bags as sleds (by the way they work wonders--and they are cheap) and this is us going down the hill. Christina went too, but on the first try got hurt--so we made her photographer---I cannot wait to sled some more this year! :)
