Weekend of the 4th...

Well...this weekend did not turn out as expected, but it was still okay. Friday, the 3rd, the Twins had their 2nd birthday party (though their birthday was on June 27th.) I was most excited to see Kevan & Andrew. It had been a couple of months, so I was dying to see them. Poor little Andrew had a fever most of the day, but when his Motrin kicked in...he was ready to go! :) Kevan & Andrew decided they wanted to 'practice' their photography skills with my camera...so we got some interesting pictures! The day went well & it didn't start to rain until after the party was over. That was good. Saturday I had all these grand plans & ended up waking up not feeling well. So, I spent most of the day sleeping. I ventured out for a few minutes to attend a party of some of our old neighbors, but didn't last long. Today, I held myself up in the library for most of the day working on applications & pros & cons lists of different things. I need to make some major decisions THIS week. It is both terrifying & exciting at the same time.
I am really ready for tomorrow and my visit with the cardiologist. I am ready to hear what he says & I am counting on the fact he'll approve me to try this new medicine. What I am most excited for is that on Thursday I will be leaving for St. Louis for a long weekend with Abby & Steph for a girls' weekend. Abby's dad will even take us boating on Sunday and I cannot wait. Boating & being on the water is one of my favorite things in the world. I'm a little apprehensive about the drive alone, but I am taking all precautions I can & going on a leap of faith. I think it will be good for me to go!! I can hardly wait!! I wish I had more exciting things to report about one of my favorite holiday's weekend, but maybe next year. I have to admit the extra sleep felt wonderful. I am sad I did not get to see some friends that were up from Kansas, but maybe soon I'll be able to catch up with them. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!
I LOVE this weather. Here are some random pics from the party on Friday:
Me & my Godson, Andrew John

My Aunt Lyse; the one with the PhD in tumor immunology who spends her days trying to find a cure for cancer. Don't you feel much safer knowing she's trying to save the world? hahaha! (This was actually taken during Andrew going around taking only 'silly' pictures)

My lovebug, Kevan

Andrew & Kevan

My 3 Mac Guys; Drew, Kyle, & Kevan

Katie's mohawk during bathtime in ReRe's sink

I have absolutely NO idea where this Godson/Cousin of mine gets his silliness?

This would have been the perfect picture had my eyes not looked so out of it! Darn it! But, isn't that little Kevan so handsome???
