A Rainy Day...but we made the best of it!!!

We had fun plans today. Aunt Colleen, Ronnie, & I were taking the kids out to Adventureland (amusement park) & the Kokomo Cove (the waterpark)...the forecast said it would be 90! Well...when I woke up in the morning to dark clouds, we knew, once again, they were wrong! (SMILE) It was chilly & in the 60s but we thought we'd do the amusement park anyway. We were able to get on some rides, but the chilly weather quickly turned into rainy weather...so we had to get off the rides & go sit under some roofing for awhile. We ended up walking around in the rain for a bit and after only 2 1/2 hours of being there...we called it day. It wasn't all a bust though--we were able to get some rides ridden & we certainly had fun anyway. Then we went back to my Aunt's house and played for awhile. Of course after about an hour of being home the sun came out and so did the heat--but by then we were all too tired to go back...next week we'll try again since we all have passes & can come & go as we please there! (SMILE) It was a nice day though being with everyone & Ronnie, well...he's just hilarious!

Tomorrow I leave for St. Louis. I'm both nervous & excited. It'll be my first long road-trip alone, but I know once I am there it'll be fabulous. The weatherman told me today that it is supposed to rain all weekend in St. Louis. I can only hope they are as wrong about that as they were about today's forecast since we have plans to go boating at the Lake. Here's hoping they are anyway! I think I'll do some major sunshine dances to try to bring it out.

Hopefully by tomorrow I'll have the educational decisions I need to make made & be moving forward. On another note, the book I am reading about faith & evolution is wonderful. I hope to finish it soon & share my thoughts. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Here are some pictures from today:

Me, Lukey, & Caders--lookin' nifty!

My Wacky Zachy & me
Luke, Me, & Zach

Cade coming at Luke & I during our bumper cars war!

Ronnie & Cade on the G-Force

Zach & me on the Gallion Pirate Ship (which by the way is an awesome ride that swings you up and down extremely high!) Zach is game for ANY ride...as am I. We make a good team!

I demand seriousness when I'm with the kids! No messing around allowed! :)

The kiddos: Zach (trying to get away--as always), Cade (tired of waiting in line for bumper cars), Jackie (such a photo queen), & Luke (wondering if 'Aunt Jenny's' picture taking will ever end).

The most hilarious sight of the day; we all went on a ride & Aunt Colleen waited for us. By the time we got out of the indoor ride it was starting to pour. She HATES her hair messed with or getting wet...so the first thing we saw when we walked out of the ride was someone standing with their head wrapped in a grocery sack. Ronnie & I about died laughing when they turned around and we realized who it was. We cracked up & then pretended like we had no idea who she was! (SMILE) Never a dull moment with my family.
It was a good day, but we are hoping to go back next week when it isn't raining so we can enjoy the waterpark & lots more rides! Goodnight.
