You know, the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death. When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions. Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not. ‘Have you found joy in your life?’ 'Has your life brought joy to others?’”
*~Morgan Freeman as Carter in "The Bucket List"~*

Last night my cousin & I went to see "The Bucket List." I have to say it is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It was one of those that made you laugh, cry, and examine your heart and life with sentiment & humor. Jack Nicholson & Morgan Freeman were award winning in the movie as far as I am concerned. They are two men who are facing similar health challenges & create a "bucket list" of things they want to do before they die. I recommend everyone to go see it who is in need of a good laugh or cry or who just wants to see a movie that does not include violence or trash! A powerful portrayal of love, friendship, & the meaning of life. The movie has stuck with me & made me think about lots of things. Mostly--my own "bucket list."
*Go to Italy with Dad & visit our families villages
*Go to Africa on a mission trip/safari
*publish a book
*skydive
*take singing lessons
--There are many more things I have written down after seeing this movie--but these are just a few. Of course...the quote by the picture was one that hit home, as I am sure it did for others. It does seem that the Egyptians have some wise advice---really finding our own TRUE joy and bringing joy others is truly what we are sent here to do. Go see it. It might inspire you to write your own "bucket list" as it did me. So now I don't want to just write it, I want to start checking things off & adding more to the list.
Lots of love!
