WOW!! The weather here has been interesting. I have to say that I rather enjoyed it...the ice on the trees & grass looked gorgeous. I took this picture (above) in the backyard of my Uncle's house. I wish I could have zoomed closer, but I was not able to. It was wonderful to see the bright red Cardinal sitting in the midst of the ice-branches! KC seemed to have missed the worst of it--but I hear Atchison took a brutal blow. The babies and I were without electricity for awhile---be we cuddled & had a good ol' time! ;0) I stayed with my Aunt and Uncle for 3 days so that I didn't have to attempt to drive on the icy roads, especially in their hilly neighborhood---so driving home tonight was exciting because I got some fresh air & was able to come to my own place--which is always exciting.
Other news...I officially finished my Biochem class tonight--yea! I took the final this evening. Now, I await the results--that's the scary part. BUT--it is nice to have a bit of relief! I believe my favorite part of the class was learning about mutations in DNA causing cancer and how it works and learning about glycolysis and regulation of blood glucose--it was an interesting class...but I will never take a science course on-line again! Lesson learned.
Tomorrow after work I head to Des Moines for the weekend. My Grandpa & his siblings & all of their families get together for a big Christmas dinner--I am so excited to see everyone. I haven't been home for quite some time, so it'll be nice. I will return Sunday evening in time to go to Atchison for the vigil of S. Angelica---may she enjoy eternal life.
Hope everyone is doing well! ;0)
Lots of warm wishes & hugs!

Now we are getting a few inches of snow! It is so gorgeous! The ice storm was beautiful but tragic! The temperatures are perfect for me. I still can't figure out why I am in chapel in my tee shirt while everyone else has on sweats! Enjoy your family!
