Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.
~Zora Neale Hurston

This has to be one of my favorite pictures of all time. It was taken two weekends ago. This picture captures more than our faces. It holds all of the emotions we were all feeling at the time. It was taken only minutes before Amber and I walked down the aisle and stood on the altar as bridesmaids waiting for one of our best friends to appear as the beautiful bride. Weddings are always so bittersweet to me. On one hand, it is so hard to know that life is continuing on forward and with it comes change, however, it is such a blessing, such a gift to see two people so happy & in love that they are willing to say "until death do us part." I also have realized that you are not losing a friend, but gaining another into the circle & that is pretty exciting. True friendship withstands all of the transitions & changes that life brings.

The wedding went beautifully and the reception brought a wonderful time filled with dancing and a surprise, as Christina (the bride) had recorded her voice singing their song & surprised Jes with it on their first dance! They truly balance each other & bring out the best in one another & I am so grateful they have found each other. They really are two of the best friends a person could ask for & I know they will share many many years together. Please keep them in your prayers as Christina's grandfather is failing with cancer--their family & the newlyweds could use them during this difficult time.

This week will be keeping me hopping as I prepare to take a Biochem exam on Wednesday and the cumulative final next week! May Advent be a wonderful time of hope & reflection for everyone.

To my Beana & Jes---"God bless the broken road" that put you two together! Love you both & Congrulations!

Picture: Amber, Christina (my Beana), & Me!
