I am home safe & sound in Des Moines. I arrived last evening after a challenging drive in the fog--but all is well. It is a nice feeling to be home for the holidays. I slept in today and enjoyed every minute of it. We have a busy few days coming up--full of family & friends!! I am quite excited.

This week I found out that a very good friend of mine, Jordan, who is in the Air Force is being sent to Kabul, Afghanistan in January. He & his friend Matt are being sent together, which is nice! Please keep the two of them in your prayers.

The weather report says we are to have "blizzard like conditions" today--looks like we'll have a white Christmas--& that makes me super happy!

I hope everyone is keeping warm & enjoying their holiday, full of traditions, loved ones, and delicious food! ;0)
