let the promise of my love cover you like a warm blanket."

Today was my 22nd birthday---I cannot believe I am 22 years old. It really does feel like yesterday when I was little and couldn't wait until I was in college. Now, it's here, I'm 22 and college is almost over---WOW!! Today was a pretty laid back day---classes, dinner with Abby, ice cream with Abby, and work to be done. My big to-do was last weekend in Wichita with some of my nearest and dearest---it was enough fun to carry through until next year--but I am sure there will be more quite soon! (Smile) I am grateful for all my family and friends who called me today, sent notes and e-mails---they made my day and made me happy. This week hasn't been a great week, to say the least---lots of things going on with family and friends---in my heart and in my mind---it's been a long week---I am most happy tomorrow is Friday and the weekend can begin---I am sure next week will bring much better things, or at least I am praying it will. Times like these make you grateful for those friends who always stick by you--through the ups and downs. They allow you to be yourself and they love you anyway!!! It's been a week of rocky roads with some people in my life---one of those weeks where nothing seems to go right. If you would say a prayer for everyone that things work out and communication remains open and that through it all they know they are still loved.
I have begun to work on two research projects ( psychology and microbiology) and hopefully each will be ready for publication by spring--we shall see--but I am praying that it all works out and they are accepted for publication!! I'm off to do some more work before bed.
Thank you to everyone for making my birthday a good one---I'm happy to be 22 years old!! (Smile)
Amber made me a blanket for my birthday (pictured above) I totally adore it and cannot wait to cuddle under it tonight when I go to bed. Thank God for such awesome friends!!! She is such a gift in my life!

Jen-I'm glad you had a wonderful birthday. I'm sorry that I didn't even see you at school on your special day. Hopefully there will be time to have lunch one day next week! Enjoy your 23rd year of life. May it bring you much happiness, joy, and wonderful surprises.
