A Trip to see the Twins...

Last weekend Tutu, Papa, Sophie & I piled in the car & headed down to KC for a weekend trip to see the twins, Katie & Kyle. I have not seen them since March at Tutu's 80th party. They have changed so much in such a short time. Their vocabulary is getting more clear & extensive & their sign language is progressing, which is quite wonderful since we have a cousin who is completely deaf.

I went to Atchison on Friday to visit. Saturday we took the twins to Gymboree & then to the park. I ended up sleeping the whole afternoon away, so I'm not quite sure what they all did! (haha) We left Sunday morning. It was a short trip, but nice nonetheless to get to see the babies. Much to my surprise, they still seem to have a bond with me from all the time I spent with them when I nannied for them...that always makes me happy! Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Katie loved my baseball cap!! Doesn't she look cool? :)

We even got Tutu on the swings @ the park!
She's always game for anything!

Helpin' Kyle on the stepping stools!

My favorite picture of the weekend...my lil' Kyle giving me kisses @ the park! Yep...he owns my heart!
I have to say I am quite excited for the weekend. They don't schedule you for medical tests & images on the weekend! (haha) SO...I'm free for 2 whole days from being a lab rat! (smile) Tonight was laidback. I went to Dad's for awhile to visit some friends who are in town from Nebraska. We had a nice time visiting & catching up! I also learned that cold glass of ice water is perfect for self-defense! haha. Troy was picking on me & since I am physically not strong enough to beat him...I out smarted him & he became very wet & cold in no time! (SMILE) haha! I keep telling him..."you might be stronger, but I'm smarter."
Tomorrow I hope to finish up my room. Papa repainted it this week, so now its time to put it all back together. I would also like to hang some things on the walls, so I have to make a game plan for where I want to put things. I did some this evening, but am taking it in spurts. This cracked rib is putting a damper on much lifting & rearranging! I cannot wait for the day when I blog about my kickboxing classes or bike riding excursions instead of doctor's appointments! (SMILE) It'll be wonderful. I cannot wait until I feel great again & then WATCH OUT world!
I'm looking forward to Father's Day! I have a pretty awesome Dad to celebrate on that day!!! I am beginning to realize we are more alike than I ever liked to admit! haha. He likes to point that out every now & then.
I'm a pretty lucky girl with lots of people in my life to stick out this past year with me. I know it's just as hard on then sometimes as me...afterall, they have to put up with me. Its a good test to see who truly loves you unconditionally!
Goodnight!
