I know it has been well over a month since I have blogged, but here I am to let you know I'm still alive & kickin'!
This past month has been a trying one. My health has not been in the best shape. I was in the hospital a few days & have been going back & forth to doctors, procedures & on & on. The good news is that I've been referred to the University of Iowa hospital and I also have a wonderful doc in Des Moines who is keeping close tabs. So, we shall see. I will know a more definite plan on June 2nd when all the results come back and I have consultation again. This process has been extremely frustration and very challenging on my body & mind. However, it has also taught me a lot. It taught me that I am much stronger than I thought I was, that no matter the news or the what lies ahead, I can handle it. It has also taught me who my true friends are...the ones that aren't just there to go out and party and have fun, but then ones even when I'm sick and down and cannot be out like I usually am, are still calling, writing, and visiting---I owe them a lot. I have also realized how truly truly blessed I am to have a family and extended family who is with me through thick and thin, surgeries, doctor's appointments, you name it, they are there. I also know that I have a stronger faith than I ever though--in times when you are down and not feeling well, you turn to faith to get you through to the next day. There have been several days when I've wondered if I can stand one more day & then I do & I am grateful. I have the best doctors in Iowa, the best family & friends, and faith to keep me going---life is good!
I will keep you all posted on the findings and the plans when I know of it. Until then, keep I'll do my best to blog more and share the photography I've been working on.
Pictures: These pictures were taken about a month ago...Kyle loves to ride on my shoulders and we have so much fun. That child holds such a special place in my heart--we have so much fun! I cannot wait to get better and go down for more time with them!!
